Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has announced that its latest AI model, Grok 3, is in the final stages of development and is expected to be released within the next two weeks. Musk claims that Grok 3 possesses advanced reasoning capabilities, outperforming existing AI chatbots, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT and China’s DeepSeek.
Grok 3 has been developed using ten times the computing power of its predecessor, Grok 2, and is designed to handle complex questions by breaking them into smaller tasks. It offers two modes: “Think,” which displays step-by-step reasoning, and “Big Brain,” intended for more demanding tasks.
Early access to Grok 3 will be available to X Premium+ subscribers, with plans to offer it through a new SuperGrok subscription tier on xAI’s mobile app and Grok.com. Additionally, xAI has introduced DeepSearch, a next-generation search engine aimed at enhancing research, brainstorming, and data analysis tasks.
These developments come amid ongoing competition in the AI sector, highlighted by Musk’s recent $97.4 billion bid to acquire OpenAI’s nonprofit assets, which was declined.
