If you’re a potential Tesla Model S or Model X owner but want to wait for the electric vehicles to get a Model 3 and Model Y-like refresh, you might not have to wait too much longer.
According to one Tesla worker the updated models could launch towards the end of this year.
Lars Moravy, VP of Vehicle Engineering, spoke during an appearance on the Ride the Lightning podcast and suggested that the updates will arrive eventually. “Just give it a minute, we’ll get there,” he said.
Neither the Model S nor Model X have been refreshed since they were last updated in the early part of 2021 with a new interior and a second-row touchscreen, among other things.
Unfortunately, details about what we should expect from a potential 2025 launch have so far been hard to come by but we can expect both internal updates and a refreshed exterior if the Model 3 and Model Y updates are any indication.
With there still likely to be a good few months before any refresh does arrive we can likely look forward to leaks and more information appearing before then. Tesla has recently been pretty poor at hiding its test vehicles, so some spy shots are also likely to be on the agenda before the EVs launch, too.
