This keyless deadbolt features Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, enabling hands-free unlocking by detecting the approach of an authorized user’s device and unlocking the door precisely as they reach it. Additionally, it supports Matter-over-Thread, ensuring seamless integration with various smart home ecosystems, including Apple Home, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings. Users can also unlock the door using a numeric code or NFC tap-to-unlock functionality. The Schlage Sense Pro is expected to be available for purchase later this year.
For those seeking a more traditional option, Schlage also introduced the Arrive Smart WiFi Deadbolt. This model includes a push-button keypad and built-in WiFi, allowing for remote management of up to 250 access codes through the updated Schlage Home app. The Arrive Smart WiFi Deadbolt is slated for release in late spring 2025.
