May Mobility Launches First Commercial Driverless Car Service

May Mobility, an autonomous vehicle technology company, launched its first commercial driverless transportation service in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. This service, operating without a safety driver, marks the company’s third driverless deployment in the U.S., following previous initiatives in Sun City, Arizona, and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Peachtree Corners service utilizes autonomous Toyota Sienna vehicles, offering rides along a route with eight designated stops at key locations such as hotels, restaurants, retail shops, office spaces, the Innovation Center at Curiosity Lab, and Peachtree Corners City Hall. Passengers can book on-demand trips through the May Mobility app, available on the App Store and Google Play.

May Mobility’s vehicles are equipped with patented Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology, which employs in-situ artificial intelligence to continuously learn and adapt to complex and unpredictable driving conditions, ensuring a safer and more comfortable ride.

Looking ahead, May Mobility plans to expand its autonomous services in the metro Atlanta area in partnership with Lyft later in 2025, with additional driverless operations anticipated throughout the year.
