Lyft has announced plans to introduce a fleet of autonomous robotaxis in Dallas as early as 2026. This initiative is part of a collaboration with Japan’s Marubeni Corporation, which will own the vehicles, and Israel’s Mobileye, providing the self-driving technology. The specific vehicle models to be used have not been disclosed. This move positions Lyft alongside competitors like Uber, which plans to launch self-driving taxis in Austin, Texas, in partnership with Waymo.
