Red Hat Developer Hub adds analysis dashboard

Red Hat has updated Red Hat Developer Hub, an enterprise internal developer portal based on Backstage. The new release offers a developer preview of Adoption Insights, an analytical dashboard that details how Developer Hub is being used by development teams.

With Red Hat Developer Hub 1.5, introduced April 1 and available now, Red Hat said it seeks to offer a more customized experience to increase developer productivity. Adoption Insights allows development teams to better understand where improvements can be made. The dashboard provides a detailed look at templates and plugins that are being regularly used, metrics around visits and usage, and other information. This enables organizations to make data-driven decisions to enhance user experience and boost productivity, Red Hat said.

Red Hat Developer Hub can be accessed from developers.redhat.com. Also highlighted in the Red Hat Developer Hub 1.5 release is a developer preview of Red Hat Developer Hub Extensions Catalog, which provides a catalog view of community plugins and verified plugins from Red Hat. Information on more than 60 dynamic plugins is viewable through a streamlined interface that makes it faster and easier to onboard new tools and capabilities. The dynamic plugin framework in Red Hat Developer Hub enables management of any plugin at runtime without needing to rebuild and redeploy the portal, Red Hat said.
