According to Apple, the 12.9 inch iPad Pro will come with Microsoft’s Office Suite if you are ordering the device. Besides, Office 365 is now available for older iPads including the iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 4.
According to Apple, the company’s 12.9 inch iPad Pro could be the best alternative to traditional PCs. However, tech experts say that the new iPad Pro could not replace Windows. Besides, the device did not come with its accessories including keyboard and cursor. Therefore, to convince customers to buy the iPad Pro, Apple today announced that the company will bring in Microsoft’s Office Suite as part of the ordering process for the new iPad Pro, making it the first non-Apple accessory to appear in the order form.
Apple now offers Office 365 for the iPad Pro users as an accessory. Office 365 for iOS comes with full features similar to the PCs’ version, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. According to tech experts, the move seems unexpected, since Apple is now offering its own iWorks suite for the newest iPhones and iPads.
However, if Apple wants to boost the iPad series sales, Cupertino – based company will have to use its rival Office 365. Besides, Office 365 is now available for the iPad Air 2, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 4. Apple has been facing huge competition from other Android – powered devices in tablet segment. The company’s iPads have been showing signs of slowdown in sales.
